Description

Hydrocarbons help us create an extract with a whipped cake badder consistency, often appearing almost “wet”, this appearance is due to the presence of viscous terpenes glistening on top of the more THC rich core. Often described as one of our smoothest extracts.

If you're seeking to carry your cannabis fun up a crack, badder is the way to go. Badder is a type of concentrate that is more potent and flavorful than traditional bud. It's also easier on your lungs, making it an excellent choice for those with respiratory issues.

What is Badder?

Badder is a variety of cannabis concentrate conducted by removing trichomes from the plant material. The trichomes are then purified and concentrated on creating a sticky, resin-like substance. Badder has a higher concentration of THC than regular cannabis flowers, and it also has a more potent flavor.

To make badder, you will need to start with high-quality cannabis trim or buds. The trim should be free of leaves and stems, and the buds should be dry and cured. If you are using fresh trim, you will need to dry it first by hanging it in a dark, airtight space for 7-10 days.

Once your trim is dry, you will need to grind it into a fine powder using a coffee grinder or food processor. The more refined the powder, the more manageable it will be to pull the trichomes later.

Next, you will need to place the ground trim into a mesh bag or cheesecloth and submerge it in ice water for 24 hours. This action will assist in hurting the plant material's cell walls and dismiss the trichomes into the water.

After 24 hours, remove the trim from the water and let it drain for a few minutes before squeezing out any excess water. Now, you are ready to begin extraction!

The Benefits of Badder

The process of making badder results in a product that is more flavorful than traditional cannabis. The terpenes and other molecules that contribute to the plant's taste and smell are preserved better in badder, resulting in a more potent flavor profile.

More Potent

Badder is also more mighty than conventional cannabis. The high concentration of trichomes makes for a more robust product that can have up to 30% THC content. This means that users will require less badder to achieve the same effect as they would with regular cannabis.

Better for Your Lungs

Another benefit of badder is that it is easier on your lungs than smoking cannabis flower. Making badder withdraws many of the poisonous byproducts of combustion, such as tar and carbon monoxide. This makes for a more unassailable outcome to swallow, particularly for those with respiratory illnesses.

How to Use Badder?

Badder can be used in various forms, depending on the person's selections. The most common methods are smoking or vaporizing, using an edible or topical application.

Smoking or vaporizing: This is the most prevalent mode of ingesting concentrates. It can be done with a pipe, bong, dab rig, vaporizer, or joint/blunt. Simply heat up the concentrate (using a torch for dab rigs), and inhale. The effects will be felt almost immediately.

Edibles: Edibles are becoming increasingly popular as they offer a discreet and tasty way to consume cannabis. You can make your own edibles by infusing concentrates into butter or oil and then using that to cook various recipes. Or you can purchase pre-made edibles from a dispensary. Begin with a low amount (5-10mg) and glimpse how it impacts you before intaking more.

What are Cannabis Concentrates?

A cannabis concentrate is a highly potent THC- (tetrahydrocannabinol) rich resin that is derived from the marijuana plant. It is also known as hash oil, honey oil, wax, shatters, or budder. This concentrated form of marijuana can range in color from light golden brown to dark amber and has a glass-like consistency.

Types of Concentrates

There are several types of cannabis concentrates, including:

Hash – Hash is a dry sift or water-purified concentrate made from the trichomes (the sticky crystals covering the outside surface of the female cannabis plant) that have been separated from the plant matter. It can be smoked or vaporized and comes in many forms, such as bubble hash, Moroccan hash, charas, and ganja.

Oil – Cannabis oil is any concentrated extract that contains high levels of THC but can also include other cannabinoids like CBD (cannabidiol). Many different extraction methods are used to create cannabis oils, such as CO2 extraction, butane extraction, and olive oil extraction. These oils can be used in vaporizers, eaten alone or added to food, and applied topically.

Wax – Wax is another type of cannabis concentrate that gets its name from its waxy consistency. It is made by using a solvent to strip away all the unwanted materials from the plant, leaving behind only a pure cannabinoid-rich product. The most common solvents used are butane and propane. Once the wax has been extracted, it can be further processed into different consistencies like budder or crumble.

Budder – Budder is a kind of wax with a light texture equivalent to peanut butter. It is made by whipping the wax during the extraction process, which adds air to the final product making it lighter in color and easier to spread.

Crumble – Crumble is equal to budder but contains a more dehydrated and crumbly texture. It too is made by whipping the wax during extraction; however, less air is added, resulting in a denser final product.

The Difference Between Concentrates and Flower

The main difference between cannabis concentrates and regular flower buds is potency; concentrates contain higher levels of THC than common marijuana flowers do. For this reason, cannabis concentrates are often preferred by medical patients and those who are looking for a more intense high. The other main difference is how long the effects of each last; the impact of smoking cannabis concentrates can last anywhere from 1-3 hours, while the effects of smoking regular marijuana flowers only last for 30-60 minutes.
