GELATO MINTZ / INDICA

· Taste: Pine, Citrus, Earthy

· Feeling: Sleepy, Euphoric, Relaxing

· Description: Wind down and relax with Gelato Mintz, an indica with a robust, earthy flavor profile.

Gelato is a cross between Sunset Sherbet and Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies, named in homage to its sweet aroma. Also known as Larry Bird, Gelato (#33) was first cultivated in Northern California's Bay Area and is derived from a deep bank of genetics created by the Cookie Family, the Sherbinskis family, and cultivator Mario Guzman.

The cultivators parted ways following its creation, and the cultivator who possesses the most “stable version” of Gelato genetics is up for debate. Cookies cultivate a few phenotypes and descendants of the strain named Gelato #42, Dolce Gelato, and a sun-grown Gelato. Sherbinskis grows four stabilized Gelato phenotypes in its rotation as well: Gelato #41 (Bacio Gelato), Gelato #43 (Gello Gelato), Gelato #47 (Mochi Gelato), and Gelato #49 (Acai Berry Gelato). Per Sherbinskis, the #33 phenotype is no longer in cultivation.

About the strain

Gelato Mint is a indica-dominant flavor. Ideal for any time of day, it's rich terpene profile offers relaxing effects with little to no impairment on lucidity. This unique genetic has rich flavors from inhale to exhale.

Gelato Mint is a cross of "It's It" and "Cookies & Cream". It produces fairly round buds that are dense and frosty. When cultivated indoors at lower temperatures, this strain will produce increased terpenes as well as distinct flavor profiles.

In general, it provides feelings of relaxation and slight numbing sensations on the body without greatly influencing clarity. This makes Gelato Mint a good choice for new cannabis consumers looking for an enjoyable mellow high. Gelato Mint is best known for its strong, fresh flavors and aromas. Gelato Mint's name is pretty self-explanatory - it has a minty pepper aroma with earthy pine undertones. And on exhale, the buds' flavors will come through as well. The bud's terpene profile is quite rich.

What is live resin, and why is it so well-known?

Unlike dry resin, live resin is made from new, undried cannabis flowers, making it a more potent cannabis concentrate. Unlike other concentrates, which are made from dried and cured cannabis, the live resin possesses all of the cannabinoids, terpenes, and other beneficial compounds found in fresh cannabis. This makes it one of the most rugged and savory kinds of concentrates available. Live resin cartridges are becoming increasingly popular as a way to enjoy these unique concentrates. We'll show you how to use live resin vape cartridges and provide some recipes for delicious live resin e-liquids.

There are several benefits to using live resin, including

1. More potent flavor and aroma: As noted above, live resin concentrates keep more of the plant's terpene profiles than other kinds of concentrates. This means that they have a more potent flavor and aroma, making them ideal for those who want to enjoy the full range of benefits that cannabis offers.

2. Increased potency: Live resin concentrates are also generally more potent than other types of cannabis concentrates, meaning that you'll need less of it to achieve the desired effect. This makes them flawless for those who want to get the maximum out of their cannabis journey without buying much product.

3. Longer-lasting effects: Because live resin concentrates are more potent, they also tend to produce longer-lasting results than other types of cannabis products. This is perfect for those who want their medicine to last throughout the day or night without having to reapply every few hours.

Live Resin vs. Other Concentrates

Live Resin vs. Butane Hash Oil.

Making live resin begins with freezing the fresh buds, which helps preserve the plant's terpene profile. Butane hash oil (BHO) is another sort of cannabis concentrate that is created using parched and cured cannabis buds. Making BHO concerns using butane as a solvent to remove the cannabinoids and terpenes from the plant material. Even though both live resin and BHO are concentrates, they differ in terms of their taste, smell, and effects.

Live resin has a unique flavor and aroma due to the terpenes' presence. Terpenes are flammable mixtures that are accountable for the distinguishable fragrances and tastes of different plants. Because the live resin is made with fresh, undried cannabis flowers, it contains a higher concentration of terpenes than BHO. This delivers live resin with a more rich taste and scent than BHO. In terms of effects, live resin tends to be more psychoactive than BHO because it includes a more increased concentration of THC.

The Different Types of Cannabis Concentrates

Indica cannabis concentrate sauce is made from Indica cannabis plants. These plants are shorter and have broader leaves than Sativa plants. The Indica plant produces a higher concentration of THC, the compound responsible for the "high" associated with cannabis use. Indica concentrates are typically more potent than Sativa concentrates and tend to have a more sedative effect.

Sativa Cannabis Concentrate Sauce

Sativa cannabis concentrate sauce is made from Sativa cannabis plants. These plants are taller and have narrower leaves than Indica plants. The Sativa plant produces a lower concentration of THC, but a higher concentration of CBD, the compound responsible for many of the medical benefits associated with cannabis use. Sativa concentrates are typically less potent than Indica concentrates but also tend to have a more energizing effect.

Hybrid Cannabis Concentrate Sauce

Hybrid cannabis concentrate sauce is made from hybrid cannabis plants. These plants are a mix of Indica and Sativa strains, producing a moderate concentration of both THC and CBD. Hybrid concentrates are typically less potent than either Indica or Sativa concentrates, but they can balance the effects of both plant types.

The Benefits of Cannabis Concentrates

Cannabis concentrates are significantly more potent than traditional cannabis flowers. This is because concentrates include a more increased concentration of cannabinoids, the operational combinations in cannabis. For example, a typical cannabis flower may contain 10-25% THC, while a concentrate can have up to 90% THC. This means that you need much less concentration to achieve the desired effect.

Enhanced Flavor

Another benefit of cannabis concentrates is that they offer an enhanced flavor experience. This is because the terpenes, which are accountable for the plant's scent and flavor, are also more full of concentrates. This can cause a more satisfying and delicious smoking or vaporizing experience.

Increased Shelf Life

Finally, cannabis concentrates have a longer shelf life than traditional cannabis flowers. This is because the water has been removed from the equation during the extraction process. Cannabis flowers typically only last for a few weeks before they start to degrade, but concentrates can last for months or even years when stored properly.
